Jennifer J. Levitt is a Partner at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP where she is a member of the Banking and Credit Practice. Jennifer regularly represents financial sponsors in connection with debt financings for their private equity, real estate, infrastructure, mezzanine debt and other investment funds.
She has extensive experience in complicated financings designed to provide fund-level leverage to facilitate and support investment activities, including margin loans and other forms of back-leverage. Jennifer has represented clients including Blackstone, Carlyle, KSL Capital Partners and Oaktree Capital Management.
Jennifer received her J.D., cum laude, in 2001 from Harvard Law School and her B.A., magna cum laude, in 1997 from Duke University. She joined the Firm in 2002 following a clerkship with the Honorable J. Spencer Letts in the U.S. District Court. Jennifer is admitted to practice in California and New York.
