
Jennifer A. Maddrey is an attorney in King & Spalding’s Contracts and Business Torts practice, where she specializes in employment litigation and counseling. Jennifer represents employers in individual, collective and class action lawsuits, governmental investigations, and administrative proceedings under federal and state employment laws, including Title VII, 42 U.S.C. § 1981, the ADA, the ADEA, the FMLA, and the FLSA.
Additionally, Jennifer counsels employers on compliance with employment laws and related issues regarding employee training, internal investigations, exemption status and proper classification of workers, effective personnel policies and procedures, and records management policies and retention schedules. She also has experience in drafting employee handbooks, employment agreements, restrictive covenants, confidentiality agreements and separation agreements.
As a complement to her litigation practice, Jennifer stays abreast of trends in the litigation technology industry and monitors case law developments concerning e-discovery matters. Jennifer has experience in coordinating and supervising the selection of e-discovery vendors and developing protocols for data mapping, early case assessment, objective coding, collecting, reviewing and producing documents.
Her experience also includes training document review teams on case background and other issues relevant to document review projects. Additionally, she has significant practical experience with a variety of document review platforms and litigation support systems.
Jennifer received her J.D. from The Florida State University College of Law where she was a fellow with the Dispute Resolution Center at the Florida Supreme Court. She graduated from Baylor University with a M.A. in Political Science and International Economics. She obtained her B.A. in Political Science from San Diego State University. She is admitted to practice in Georgia and Florida.
