Jennifer Renee Posey focuses her practice on issues related to Family Law, Child Support, Child Custody, Spousal Support, Dissolution, Probate, Mediation, Family Law Litigation, Property Divisions, etc. She specializes in Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDROs), dreaded by many family law attorneys, and is called the QDRO Queen.
Since 1994, she serves as an Arbitrator on the Orange County Bar Fee Arbitration Panel. This experience gives her an upper hand in better assisting her clients in their fee disputes with other family law lawyers. She has earlier worked as a professor of Appellate Advocacy and Evidence.
Jennifer Posey attended the California State University in Fullerton and obtained her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Political Science in 1986. She later went to the American University Washington College of Law and earned her Juris Doctorate in 1991. She graduated with high honors, Salutorian – Magna Cum Laude. She obtained admission to the California Bar in 1991. She also has the license to appear before the Central District Court of California.
She started serving as an Associate Attorney at the law firm Selski & Sturgeon in 1991. After working at Bridgman, Mordkin, Shapiro & Gould till 1993, she served as a Professor at the American College of Law from 1993 to 1995. Simultaneously she also served as an attorney at the Hughes & Associates during 1994-1995. She started her private practice from Jennifer & associates since 1993.
Attorney Jennifer R. Posey works actively with several professional associations. She is a member of the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association, Orange County Paralegal Association, Orange County Women Lawyers Association, and the Rotary Club of Mission Viejo.
She has served on the Orange County Superior Court Panel for Minor’s Counsel from 2005 to 2013. She is also a broker member of the Orange County Association of Realtors. She is also an attorney member of the family law section of both the State Bar of California and the Orange County Bar Association. She has received two certifications from the California Association of Realtors.
