
Jennifer Yi is a Korean American attorney and Of Counsel to Baum Hedlund Aristei and Goldman, P.C. Jennifer earned her B.A. degree in Psychology in 2006 from the University of Southern California and was on the Dean’s honor roll list.
While at USC, Jennifer took a summer to study abroad in Seoul, South Korea in at Korea University’s International Summer School program. She went on to earn her law degree from Southwestern University School of Law where she was a recipient of the Dean’s Scholar Award and an appointed member of the Student Bar Association.
As a certified law clerk at the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office and District Attorney’s office, Jennifer conducted preliminary hearings for felony cases.
After law school, Jennifer practiced as a civil litigator. She represented many corporate clients prior to joining Baum Hedlund. She was part of the Baum Hedlund litigation team that represented the family of a Korean national that was killed in a helicopter crash near Easton, Washington.
Among other things, Jennifer traveled to Busan and Seoul to assist in the prosecution of that case. In addition, she explained the American legal system to the firm’s Korean clients, answering all of their questions so that they felt fully informed as to the progress of their case.
Jennifer Yi is an active member of the Korean American Bar Association (Southern California Chapter) and American Bar Association.
