Jenny Nieves has more than 25 years of business immigration experience. She represents industry leading multinational corporations in a wide range of industries, including financial services, pharmaceutical, retail, technology, insurance and risk management, and human resource consulting.
Jenny provides corporate clients with strategic counseling in all areas of nonimmigrant and immigrant employment-based immigration law, regulations, policy, and compliance.
Jenny works closely with client’s Office of General Counsel and Human Resource Departments to design and implement customized immigration policies focused on immigration compliance, streamlined case management and cost-effective strategies for managing large numbers of foreign national employees.
She counsels clients on global workforce mobility issues and immigration due diligence considerations related to Mergers & Acquisitions and other corporate restructurings.
Jenny is a frequent presenter to in-house legal and human resources personnel on nonimmigrant and immigrant employment-based matters and compliance.
Jenny is the supervising partner of the firm’s Japanese practice and a member of Fragomen’s Corporate Compliance Group. Her team of experienced attorneys and paralegals pride themselves on their immigration knowledge, efficiency and excellent client service.
Jenny participated in the World Trade Center Pro Bono Project to assist family members of victims of 9/11. She also participated in the City Bar Justice Center clinic pro bono to assist Haitians applying for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) and work authorization following the earthquake in Haiti.
Jenny worked pro bono with the Safe Passage Project to assist unaccompanied immigrant children in need of legal representation.
