
Jeremy L. Jones joined Cozen O’Connor in 2007 and is currently the vice chair, office managing partner of the firm’s Charlotte office. As a member of the firm’s Litigation Department, Jeremy’s practice focuses primarily on investigating and litigating catastrophic claims arising from product defects, negligent construction, and professional malpractice.
The investigative skills that Jeremy relies upon in his litigation practice were developed prior to Cozen O’Connor during his various endeavors. After high school, Jeremy served four years with the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division, 3/504th Parachute Infantry Regiment at Fort Bragg, N.C. While at Western Carolina University, Jeremy served four years with the North Carolina National Guard’s 210th Military Police Company.
Following law school, Jeremy joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation and was assigned to FBI HQ in Washington, D.C. Jeremy served a portion of his time with the FBI in the Criminal Investigative Division’s Office of Assistant Director, which is responsible for oversight and strategic planning of investigations involving financial crimes, public corruption, organized crime, civil rights violations, and violent crimes.
The balance of Jeremy’s time with the FBI was served in the Critical Incident Response Group’s Crisis Negotiation Unit, which is responsible for hostage negotiations when an American citizen is kidnapped internationally. Jeremy earned his undergraduate degree from Western Carolina University and his law degree from the University of Tennessee, College of Law.
