Jessica Sommer Grigsby graduated Summa Cum Laude from Sacramento State University in 2000. After I achieved my undergraduate degree, I worked as a lobbyist’s assistant in the Sacramento area and managed a Senate Campaign Finance team before attending law school in 2001.
While attending law school I was a member of both the UC Davis and California State Traynor Moot Court Teams, and was active in state and national moot court competitions. During law school I worked at the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office and assisted the Chief Counsel for the Legal Department of Parks and Recreation.
I was admitted to practice in California in 2006 and began work as an insurance coverage and defense attorney in Santa Monica, California. After working for a few years defending insurance companies, I began to feel as though something was missing in my professional endeavors.
I wasn’t helping people; I was helping insurance companies to not pay the claims of injured parties who deserved compensation. I quickly realized that in order to achieve any sense of personal fulfillment, things had to change.
I moved my family back to Northern California and began working for a wonderful Plaintiff’s firm that cares about their clients and believes in the rights of the people we represent.
