Jihan Soliman (Gigi) is an associate in the Firm’s Municipal Government Law and Real Estate Practice Group; she provides general representation to municipalities on a broad range of issues such as ethics, public records, and sunshine law. As counsel to local municipalities, Gigi drafts and reviews proposed legislation, resolutions, and agreements on a variety of matters.
As an associate in the Firm’s Real Estate Practice Group she provides representation for developers in real estate transactions. Prior to joining the Firm, Gigi was Assistant City Attorney for the City of Miami. As Assistant City Attorney, she was counsel to the City of Miami’s Housing and Commercial Loan Committee and Wynwood Business Improvement District.
In addition to her municipal experience Gigi represented the City of Miami’s Department of Community and Economic Development in all general matters and its real estate and loan transactions with for-profit and not-for-profit affordable housing developers.
Gigi is a Miami native. She attended Florida State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science and graduated summa cum laude. While attending the University of Miami School of Law, where she graduated cum laude, Gigi was President of the Student Bar Association and a fellow of the UM Street Law Clinic. Community service is her lifelong passion.
Gigi is a certified Volunteer Guardian Ad Litem where she assists in representing children in dependency court and has served as a Judge for Miami-Dade County’s Teen Court program. She is also a community leader, having been a fellow in the Florida Bar’s Leadership Academy Class IV and currently serves as a Board of Director for the Dade County Bar Association, Young Lawyer’s Division.
