Joel B. Rothman represents clients in intellectual property infringement litigation involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, defamation, trade libel, unfair competition, unfair and deceptive trade practices, and commercial matters.
Joel’s litigation practice also includes significant focus on electronic discovery issues such as e-discovery management and motion practice relating to e-discovery.
Joel is a former chair of the Intellectual Property Committee of the Business Law Section of The Florida Bar and a member of the Section’s Executive Council. Prior to relocating to Florida, Joel was an Assistant District Attorney in the Rackets Bureau, Investigations Division, of the Bronx District Attorney’s Office.
Joel received his J.D. with honors from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University in 1991, and his B.A. magna cum laude from the State University of New York at Albany in 1988. Joel is admitted in Florida and New York, as well as many other federal courts around the country.
