John Hughes is a commercial litigator who represents clients in federal and state courts and alternative dispute resolution forums throughout the United States.
John has substantial experience representing franchisors in a wide variety of disputes. He regularly represents franchisors in actions involving claims for encroachment, breach of contract, breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, fraud, consumer fraud, trademark infringement, unfair trade practices, system standards enforcement, tortious interference with contract, breach of fiduciary duty, disclosure violations and violations of Little FTC Acts.
Much of John’s practice involves dealing with franchisee termination issues and the enforcement of post-termination covenants. He has represented franchisors in matters involving individual franchisees, class actions, group actions and suppliers.
