John Cornell Fuller handles a variety of complex commercial and criminal litigation matters, including directors’ and officers’ liability, international trade and intellectual property litigation.
John has extensive experience defending directors and officers of public and private corporations in claims arising from alleged improper acts in the discharge of their duties and management decisions.
He represents clients in federal and state litigation involving breach of fiduciary duty, breach of duty of loyalty, corporate governance, shareholder issues, and fraud, among other matters.
John handles a range of international disputes on behalf of domestic clients. Having earned an LL.M. in International and European Law from the University of Amsterdam, he offers clients a keen understanding of the various U.S. and foreign regulations affecting international trade, including customs and import compliance, export restrictions and U.S. sanctions programs and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
John represents multinational film, television and media producers as well as local arts professionals in an array of intellectual property issues involving copyrights and trademarks, including the registration, opposition and enforcement of intellectual property rights.
Prior to joining Fox Rothschild, John served as a law clerk to the Honorable Malachy E. Mannion in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
John received his LL.M. in International and European Law from the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. With an emphasis in International Trade and Investment Law, John focused on international business transactions and dispute resolution as well as global intellectual property right enforcement and protection.
His Thesis, A Product Class Approach to Realigning the International Debate over Intellectual Property Right Exhaustion, was published by the University of Amsterdam’s School of Law in its Journal, Legal Issues of Economic Integration.
While at the Villanova University School of Law, John served as Editor-in-Chief of the Villanova Sports and Entertainment Law Journal. His case note examining the right of publicity as both a privacy interest and as intellectual property was published in the Villanova Sports and Entertainment Law Journal.
John is a member of the board of directors of Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens, a nonprofit organization that works to inspire creativity and community engagement by educating the public about visionary art as well as preserve, interpret and provide access to the iconic mosaic works of Isaiah Zagar.
