Attorney Drapp began his legal career as an associate attorney at Slavitt, Connery & Vardamis in Norwalk, Connecticut, practicing in the areas of real estate, business transactions and family litigation. When that firm unexpectedly dissolved, Attorney Drapp spent several months as a solo practitioner before partnering with Attorney Jaumann in January 2005 to form Drapp & Jaumann, LLC.
Since 2005, a substantial portion of Attorney Drapp’s practice has been civil and criminal litigation. He has represented hundreds of individuals charged with crimes ranging from disorderly conduct to murder, and has tried numerous criminal cases to verdict. He has also litigated many types of civil cases, including auto accidents, property disputes, employment matters and contract claims. Attorney Drapp has continued his family litigation practice as well and regularly represents clients in divorce and child custody matters.
In addition to his litigation practice, Attorney Drapp assists clients with their estate planning needs. He is routinely called upon to draft wills, trusts, advanced directives and powers of attorney. He also assists the family members of those who cannot take care of themselves obtain legal authority to oversee the financial and personal affairs of their loved ones.
Attorney Drapp also practices all aspects of real estate law, including not only residential and commercial closings but also real estate litigation. He has been a licensed real estate broker in Connecticut since 2002 and for many years taught Real Estate Principles and Practices, which is the 60-hour course that one must complete in order to obtain a real estate license.
Drapp & Jaumann, LLC He has also lectured in the areas of fair housing and landlord/tenant law in Connecticut. He has assisted clients in condominium conversions of apartment buildings and regularly advises landlords on compliance issues with laws regarding fair housing, security deposits, lease terms and eviction proceedings.
Attorney Drapp is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, the Connecticut Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, the Milford Bar Association and the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association.
He has previously served on the Board of Directors of the Bridgeport Chamber of Commerce, and is a member of the MIlford Chamber of Commerce. Attorney Drapp lives in Milford and is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Milford and the Milford Republican Town Committee.
