John E. Tiedt was born in Anaheim, California and grew up in Placentia, California. He graduated from UCLA in 1983 and Pepperdine University School of Law in 1987. After graduating Pepperdine, John immediately went to work for a medical malpractice law firm.
During his first years of practice, John went back to UCLA to further his education in the medical field. At night, he would study advanced anatomy and physiology and by day he was engaged in a very busy legal practice.
John and his dedicated paralegal, Barb Lewis, have been credited with driving dangerous dietary supplements from the market, such as Ephedra. John moved his practice to Corona as he felt the residents of Riverside County needed better and accessible consumer advocates.
John’s recent verdicts and settlements have been praised as consumer victories and he continues to receive referrals directly from notable law firms around the country on complex product liability, dietary supplement and medical malpractice matters. He has also been frequently interviewed and consulted by the media regarding his cases.
John is currently a member of the Consumer Attorneys of California, Riverside County Bar Association, Provisors and California Health Fraud Task Force. He has also served as counsel for the American Cancer Society.
John’s cases have been reported in professional publications and in national media. He has also been admitted to practice pro hac vice in 15 states to handle a variety of notable cases while winning millions of dollars in verdicts for his clients.
