He has litigated more than 50 intellectual property disputes in federal courts. For example, he has defended claims for patent and copyright infringement and trade secret misappropriation; defended negligence claims arising from the 9/11 terrorist attacks; represented Kim Dotcom (the founder of New Zealand’s Internet political party) to oppose extradition attempts by the U.S. government; represented two sisters fighting over a $1 billion estate; defended a CEO accused of improper conduct by his own company; audited a Fortune 10 company’s FCPA compliance; represented HTC against Apple in the “smartphone wars”; defended a claim for a constructive trust over a multibillion-dollar telecommunications company; and pursued and defended class actions alleging monopolistic conduct, privacy violations and securities fraud. He also has represented clients such as Google, Cisco, AT&T, Bank of New York and Philips.
Mr. Neukom sits on the board of directors for Children’s Rights, a nonprofit that uses litigation to advocate for the rights of foster children. He also is an honorary member of the Commercial Bar Association of England, a founding member of the Angler’s Committee for the American Museum of Fly Fishing in Vermont and a former trustee of the Henry Art Gallery at the University of Washington.
