John W. Christiansen

John Christiansen’s  practice focuses on general federal and state trial litigation. Other practice areas that interest John are bankruptcy, workers’ compensation, and social security disability cases. He has assisted hundreds of Utahns in eliminating over 10 million dollars in consumer and business debt during his career.

He has also successfully represented Clientele in over 10 different states before a dozen federal, state and administrative tribunals and has earned hundreds of thousands of dollars for his Clients through favorable judgments and settlements.

His efforts have earned him recognition in 2013 in Best Lawyers magazine as a premier Utah attorney, selected by peer recognition as well as a selectee as 2017 Mountain States Rising Star.

Mr. Christiansen is recognized as a knowledgeable member of the Utah legal community and as such is on the teaching faculty at Utah Valley University and at Eagle Gate College. He currently teaches bankruptcy, collections, constitutional law, legal writing any many other topics and serves as an instructional course/curriculum designer as well.

Mr. Christiansen is an active member of the Utah Association for Justice, as well as a past member of the A. Sherman Christensen Inn of Court.

His prior work experience exposed him to a vast array of courtroom and trial experiences while working in a major crimes unit at a District Attorney’s Office, the UPC criminal division of the Utah Attorney General’s office and as an executive appointee under the Bush administration at the U.S. Justice Department.
