His client list includes both domestic and foreign clients. He has handled matters like government investigations, grand jury investigations, internal corporate investigations.

He also has experience in contested litigations and arbitrations concerning securities fraud, bank fraud, health care fraud, professional malpractice, antitrust claims, intellectual property rights and patents, business torts, and contract and licensing issues.

In a noteworthy case in April 2015, he testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee to address aspects of the asset forfeiture laws and their effect on the criminal justice system. He had earlier submitted an amicus brief on similar issues. It was discussed by the United States Supreme Court in Kaley v. United States in 2014.

He obtained the acquittal of defendant David Lemus in his pro bono practice in a high profile murder trial. It was the subject of extensive media coverage and two television documentaries after many law enforcement investigations.

He succeeded in clearing his client in the case and also identified and obtained a witness-stand confession from the actual murderer. Print media acknowledged it as one of its kind trial in the past 20 years in New York.

He worked as a federal public defender in the Southern District of New York, earlier in his career. His trials majorly resulted in verdicts of acquittal or hung juries.

He has served on the Board of Directors of the New York Council of Defense Lawyers. He has worked as the adjunct faculty of Columbia Law School and taught seminars on federal criminal practice.

He completed BA, summa cum laude, in 1984 from Yale University. He earned JD in 1990 from the Yale Law School. He has secured admission to practice law in the District of Columbia and New York.
