Jonathan Bridges is a litigation associate in O’Melveny’s Los Angeles office who brings an extensive background in engineering to his legal practice. Jonathan’s firsthand experience solving complex problems in a range of industries makes him a valuable asset on litigation matters related to new technologies, including patent litigation, products liability, mass torts, and complex litigation.
Before going into law, Jonathan graduated from Cornell University with a degree in mechanical engineering. He worked for Toyota Motor Manufacturing North America as an automotive quality engineer, focusing on the entire spectrum of quality-related issues, from the supply chain through warranty claims.
Jonathan also worked as an engineer at both an automotive parts supplier and a beverage dispenser manufacturer, experiences that gave him a real-world grasp on the nexus of business and technology.
At UCLA School of Law, Jonathan externed for the Patent Pilot Program in the Central District of California and served as the Chief Technology Officer for UCLA Law’s Journal of Law and Technology. Jonathan uses his skillset to translate complicated technical concepts into clear and concise language.
