Jonathan Graber assists clients with trusts and estate matters and has served a variety of clients including business owners, family offices, politicians, executives, private equity professionals, real estate developers and other high net worth individuals and families.
He reviews each client situation comprehensively and designs individualized plans, including cross-border and international plans, in order to carry out the client’s objectives in a tax-efficient manner.
Many of these strategies include planning for the successful intra-family transfer of illiquid assets, such as concentrated equity holdings, including the family business, collections of artwork and vacation homes, which may represent a component of the family’s identity.
To ensure the proper implementation and administration of these strategies, Jonathan often works closely with the client’s team of professional advisors.
Jonathan also counsels clients in connection with their philanthropic objectives, in which case it may be suitable to incorporate one or more of the many available charitable structures, such as a private foundation, charitable lead trust or charitable remainder trust, into the client’s estate plan.
