Jonathan S. Burns

Mr. Jonathan Burns is Of Counsel with Leifer Law Firm and practices in the areas of Personal Injury and Wrongful Death. Mr. Burns is admitted to the Florida Bar and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida.

He is also a member of the Palm Beach County Bar Association, South Palm Beach County Bar Association, Palm Beach County Justice Association and Broward County Justice Association.

Prior to becoming a Plaintiff’s attorney, Mr. Burns practiced with a well-respected Miami insurance defense firm where he represented major tire corporations in complex wrongful death cases based on allegations of tire failure. He also represented major banks in negligent security cases and defended insurance companies in various lawsuits including those involving tractor-trailer accidents.

Mr. Burns received his Juris Doctorate from St. Thomas University School of Law after graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in Telecommunications.

During his time at the University of Florida, Mr. Burns hosted a sports-talk radio program where he fielded live callers on all major college and professional sports. Some of his more memorable interviews were with legendary coaches Steve Spurrier and Billy Donovan.

Mr. Burns is currently one of the top-ranked racquetball players in the state of Florida. He was born and raised in Miami, Florida and currently resides with his wife and two daughters in Delray Beach, Florida.
