Jordan Baehr’s practice is concentrated in pharmaceutical and medical device litigation. Experienced in both plaintiff and defense work, he is able to anticipate the strategic moves and motives of adversaries and stay one step ahead of them. Jordan is a creative, adaptive and team-oriented thinker who is committed to protecting his clients’ interests by avoiding unnecessary disputes and exerting maximum effort in the necessary ones.

Before joining Shook, Jordan represented clients in complex and class action litigation at a plaintiffs’ firm. After graduating from Harvard Law School, Jordan served as a law clerk to the Honorable Paul C. Wilson of the Supreme Court of Missouri. As a clerk, Jordan examined novel research questions in diverse areas of state and federal law.

While in law school, he interned for the U.S. Solicitor of Labor in Kansas City and with an ethical sourcing consultancy in Shanghai, China. As a law student, Jordan investigated human rights abuses among Burmese refugees with the Harvard International Human Rights Clinic and worked to improve social and environmental practices in Chinese factories.

Jordan was involved in Christian fellowship throughout law school and college and currently attends Jacob’s Well Church in Westport.

Before becoming an attorney, Jordan lived in India where he worked for International Justice Mission, a legal human rights NGO, to combat forced labor. He also worked in China, where he taught English language and literature, researched political education and conducted summer camps for children.

Jordan was born in Kansas City during the ALCS in October 1985; he grew up here and after school and work abroad moved back in the fall of 2015, just in time for the city’s latest world championship run.
