Jorge P. De La Hoz is an Associate in Buchanan’s Banking & Finance section, where he assists national and local institutional lenders in commercial lending and financing transactions. Jorge helps lenders in a number of middle market credit facilities, including syndicated loan transactions, commercial real estate financing, construction lending, vessel financing, among other types of credit facilities.
He also has prior experience in real estate transactions including leasing, acquisitions and financing. While in law school, Jorge worked as a law clerk at a local firm in Miami where he focused on residential and commercial real estate transactions and other business transaction matters.
Additionally, Jorge was a legal intern in the Miami-Dade Office of the State Attorney’s felony division. He was also named to the Dean’s List four semesters and was awarded three CALI Book Awards throughout law school.
Prior to law school, Jorge earned a bachelor’s degree in Commerce and Business Administration from the University of Alabama. Jorge’s clients can expect a strong attention to detail, responsiveness and efficiency.
