Jose Lamerique is a corporate associate and a member of the Finance Group, and focuses his practice on acquisition and leveraged finance transactions. Mr. Lamerique joined Debevoise in 2018. Prior to coming to the firm, Mr. Lamerique was an associate at another New York-based international law firm where he represented investment banks, commercial banks, private equity sponsors and corporate borrowers in various finance transactions.
Mr. Lamerique received a J.D. from the University Of Pennsylvania Law School in 2016, where he was a senior editor of the Journal of Law & Social Change. He received a B.A. summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in 2013.
