Joseph Donado is counsel in the Chicago office of Seyfarth Shaw, LLP, focusing his practice on employment-related litigation. Mr. Donado has substantial experience with claims brought under Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Section 1983, Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, and the Illinois Trade Secrets Act.
Mr. Donado also has experience with other business-related litigation, including contract disputes, business torts, restrictive covenant disputes, insurance coverage disputes, and disputes arising under state consumer fraud statutes and various states’ false claims acts.
Mr. Donado has represented clients in a full range of matters, from single-plaintiff suits to large-scale, multi-jurisdictional class actions, and through all aspects of litigation—from drafting initial pleadings and emergency requests for injunctive relief to preparing matters for trial and briefing issues on appeal—and has experience conducting internal investigations.
Mr. Donado served as law clerk to the Honorable Amy J. St. Eve, United States District Judge for the Northern District of Illinois and has been selected as one of Super Lawyers’ Rising Stars.
