
Joseph S. Harper is an associate with Foley & Lardner LLP. He is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice. Joseph has experience in complex commercial litigation, corporate bankruptcy counselling and litigation, trust and probate litigation, veterans law, tax law, and general commercial dispute resolution.
During law school, Joseph was a summer associate with Foley, and worked for the Abrams Environmental Law Clinic at the University of Chicago Law School.
Prior to attending law school, he pursued a Ph.D. in analytic philosophy at New York University, where he also designed and taught undergraduate philosophy courses, and brought philosophy into high school classrooms in Brooklyn through the Star Academy outreach program.

Joseph earned a law degree from the University of Chicago Law School (J.D., 2016), and an M.Phil. in analytic political philosophy from New York University (M. Phil., 2016).
He holds a bachelor’s degree in analytic philosophy from Rutgers University (B.A., magna cum laude, 2008).
Admissions :
Joseph is admitted to practice in Wisconsin, the U.S. District Courts for the Western and Eastern Districts of Wisconsin, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims in Washington D.C. Joseph is also an accredited VA representative.
