Josh Tucker is a partner in the law firm’s Intellectual Property practice and splits his time between the Austin and Silicon Valley offices. Josh helps companies protect their IP with strategic use of patent, copyright, trademark, and trade secret rights, and he defends companies from abusive use of these rights by others.
He has represented five of the top 25 U.S. patent filers and specializes in software-related patent applications, including those relating to decentralized applications, enterprise software development tooling, cryptography, blockchain and artificial intelligence.
The patent portfolios he helps build benefit from his extensive experience analyzing IP on behalf of investors and litigating patent disputes in Federal District Court and the ITC.

- Helping a well-funded Austin startup in the cybersecurity industry obtain blockchain patents to utilize blockchain technology to build a platform for greater data security.
