Joshua B. Emberg oversees the day-to-day business operations for the Firm’s Labor & Employment and Healthcare practices, which consist of more than 100 attorneys and paralegals. Josh is responsible for driving revenue and profitability growth through business planning and financial management, including capacity and work flow optimization, matter pricing, compensation analysis, expense approval, professional development and lateral recruiting.
He also assists with business development and marketing, knowledge management and legal project management efforts. Prior to transitioning into this role, Josh spent five years working in the Business Development & Marketing Department where he supported the Government Relations, Healthcare, Labor & Employment and Cybersecurity practices. During this time, he also worked closely with Firm leadership to analyze strategic growth opportunities, including the merger with Fowler White Boggs, one of the largest U.S. law firm deals in 2014.
Josh began his career at Herbert, Rowland and Grubic, a full-service civil engineering firm in Central Pennsylvania, where he provided business development support to their Transportation, Land Development and Environmental service groups.
Josh earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Shippensburg University, where he was a leader and four-year starter on the University’s football team and served as liaison to the Student Athletic Advisory Committee. In his youth, Josh also earned the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout from the Boy Scouts of America, an honor recognizing superior leadership and community involvement.
