Judy Naamat is senior counsel in the Stamford office of Locke Lord LLP where she counsels clients regarding IP matters, including IP licensing, IP enforcement, and patent prosecution. Judy’s practice focuses on high technology innovations in the electrical and computer arts ranging from analog and digital circuits to software and fintech.
Some representative areas of technology in which Judy has experience include signal processing; network communications; network security; big data processing; wireless technologies including telecommunications and NFC; software applications; financial technologies; computer architecture; control systems; electrical devices; semiconductor technology; image processing; document processing; imaging sensors and circuits; workflow control; medical devices; medical imaging; business methods; power distribution; and mechanical/electromechanical technologies.
Prior to joining Locke Lord, Judy practiced as a patent agent and patent attorney at a variety of intellectual property boutique law firms on Long Island, New York where she developed vast experience in all phases of foreign and domestic patent prosecution, including conducting preliminary consultations; drafting and prosecuting patent applications; patent harvesting; interviewing inventors; conducting patentability, validity, and infringement searches; and advising clients.
Prior to practicing patent law, Judy worked as a Systems Software Design Engineer for a major defense contractor based on Long Island, NY. Judy oversaw design, testing, and analysis related to a communication protocol used by military aircraft in an air-to-air link, and designed associated simulation.
