Julia M. Brown later went on to obtain her Juris Doctorate in law from the Pace University in 1986. She obtained the license to practice law in the states of Connecticut and New York in 1986 and 1987 respectively. She served as an investigative attorney at the Department of Investigation in the City of New York from 1986 to 1989.
She later relocated to Connecticut and started her private practice. She worked at the Connecticut Legal Services as an Elder Law Attorney from 1991 to 1994. She founded the Law Office of Julia M. Brown in 1994. She represents clients throughout the Connecticut state for over twenty-five years.
She has served on the Board of Directors of the Alzheimer’s Association from 1994 to 1998. She is a member of various professional associations like the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, National Elder Law Foundation, the Elder Law Committee of the Waterbury Bar Association, etc.
Attorney Brown serves on the Executive Committee of the Elder Law Section of the Connecticut Bar Association. She has received accreditation as an attorney preparing, presenting and prosecuting claims for veterans before the Department of Veterans Affairs.
