Julia S. Savage During her more than three decades of practicing family law, Julie has won numerous awards, been elected and appointed to prominent positions in the legal community, and has been honored to serve as a substitute judge for 15 years.
While gratified to be the recipient of so many professional accolades, her deepest personal satisfaction comes from the knowledge that she has made a meaningful, positive difference in the lives of her clients.
Julie is guided by a favorite quote from W. Edwards Deming: “It is not enough to do your best; you must know what to do, and then do your best.“ The primary focus of Julie’s practice is family law.
She is not only experienced, but highly capable, handling cases involving divorce, distribution of assets, alimony and child support, custody, visitation, premarital contracts, child protective services, and juvenile proceedings efficiently and effectively.
Aware that her clients are undergoing enormous turmoil when they come to her for assistance, she is committed to helping them feel more grounded by treating them with compassion as well as respect.
Her goal is to make her clients understand their options so they can regain a sense of stability and control in a tumultuous situation. Julie’s track record of success in the challenging area of family law has been hard won.
Her negotiating skills are well-honed and she is a vigorous and agile litigator. Extensive experience in the field has perfected her ability to help her clients distinguish between issues worth fighting for and matters not worth the emotional or financial cost.
Knowing how easily clients can lose perspective by getting caught up in a combative family melee, she is well-prepared to get them back on track. Her in-depth understanding of the statutes of family law, coupled with her strategic knowledge of negotiation and courtroom tactics, enable her to provide her clients with strong support when they need it most.
