Ms. Julia N. Sarnoff is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP and a member of the firm’s ADA Title III Specialty Practice Team. She represents clients in single plaintiff and class actions in federal courts, as well as in government compliance investigations that may result in enforcement actions brought in federal court.
Ms. Sarnoff’s practice focuses on disability law and its impact on public accommodations under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Housing Act, and corollary state non-discrimination statutes in matters before federal courts. She represents public accommodations nationally in matters involving architectural barriers, effective communication, service animals, and cutting-edge digital accessibility issues.
Ms. Sarnoff has successfully represented a broad range of Fortune 500 companies, including hotels, retailers, restaurants, automobile manufacturers, schools, technology companies, and health care providers in ADA Title III litigation in various federal courts across the United States. Ms. Sarnoff also advises clients throughout the country regarding ADA requirements and creating compliance policies and training programs to enable clients to avoid or respond to federal litigation.
Prior to joining Seyfarth Shaw, Ms. Sarnoff worked as an associate in the Labor and Employment Department of an international law firm, where she represented clients in the full range of employment law matters, from traditional labor to single plaintiff and class-based wage/hour, discrimination, harassment, and non-competes/restrictive covenants.
