Juliana’s practice focuses on advising financial institutions and retailers on issues arising from banking and consumer financial services law and in particular federal and state regulation of consumer credit.
She regularly assists clients with a range of issues relating to the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA), the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the Electronic Fund Transfer Act (EFTA), the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (ESIGN), the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), related regulations, and UDAAP statutes prohibiting unfair, deceptive, and abusive acts and practices.
Additionally, Juliana has experience representing clients in investigations and enforcement actions brought by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and state attorneys general.
