Julie R. Domike serves as the lawyer of choice for dozens of companies who count on her to successfully traverse the world of environmental law. These companies have come to value and respect Julie for her knowledge of the regulations, her understanding of complex manufacturing and production processes, and her dedication to helping them map the appropriate path forward to achieve their business goals, consistent with the laws.
Having previously served as a lawyer and manager at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Headquarters, Julie understands the Agency’s enforcement approach. Julie leverages her knowledge of the legal issues and approaches used by others in the industry to provide timely and workable solutions to thorny issues.
Julie has experience with rule development as well as challenges before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia. She has represented numerous companies across the country in complex negotiations with the U.S. Department of Justice and EPA, resulting in global settlements affecting multiple facilities.
In addition to counseling on alleged violations, Julie has worked with companies engaged in developing new projects or modifying existing plants. She also has worked with clients on environmental audits and subsequent correction and disclosure to state and federal environmental agencies.
In addition to practicing law, Julie is an active member of the Environmental Law Institute and the Environment and Natural Resources section of the American Bar Association, serving on the Air Quality and Administrative Law committees and as an air quality subject matter expert for the section.
