Justin Simmons is an associate in Woods Rogers’ Roanoke office. His practice focuses on bankruptcy and creditors’ rights and commercial litigation.
He has experience as a first-chair for jury trials, and has briefed and argued numerous dispositive motions in state and federal court.
Before joining Woods Rogers, Justin served as a law clerk to Judge Elizabeth K. Dillon of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia. He also gained experience as an associate at a civil defense firm in Roanoke.
Immediately after law school, Justin completed two clerkships. The first was with the judges of the Circuit Court of Roanoke City, and the second was with Justice LeRoy F. Millette, Jr., of the Supreme Court of Virginia.
During law school, Justin was a research editor for the George Mason Law Review. The journal selected his student comment for publication.
Justin is an active member of several state and local bar groups. He currently serves on the board of directors of the Roanoke Bar Association.
