Kaitlin Hoop is an associate in our Business Law Practice Group. She advises clients on a wide range of corporate matters, such as entity formation and governance, mergers and acquisitions, dispositions of business, and preparation of commercial and other contracts.
Ms. Hoop joined the Firm after completing Eastman and Smith’s Summer Associate program in 2015. Prior to joining Eastman and Smith, Ms. Hoop worked as a legal intern for two other civil law firms that operate in a variety of practice areas.
She is a graduate of Hillsdale College, where she received her bachelor of arts degree in English, cum laude, and started all four years at shortstop on Hillsdale’s NCAA Division II softball team. In 2016, she graduated magna cum laude from Ohio Northern University, Claude W. Pettit College of Law, where she was inducted into the Willis Society, the highest academic honor society at the College of Law, restricted to the top 10% of the class.
While in law school, Ms. Hoop was elected manuscript editor to the Ohio Northern University Law Review, was named secretary of the Sports Law Society and worked as the Civil Procedure teaching assistant for two years.
