
Kaitlyn J. Johnson primarily focuses her practice on health care litigation, assisting clients with complex litigation matters involving a wide variety of fraud schemes and other emerging issues facing the healthcare industry.
Additionally, as a part of the firm’s Privacy and Cybersecurity group, Kaitlyn helps her clients investigate and respond to consumers and regulators in the unfortunate event that a security incident occurs. Undaunted by complex legal problems, Kaitlyn tackles even the most difficult issues head-on to provide maximum results to her clients.
Kaitlyn is also part of the firm’s American Indian Law and Policy practice group, which represents Tribes, Tribal entities and Tribal members. As a member of the Chickahominy Indian Tribe, Kaitlyn is particularly invested in advocating for the rights of these groups and individuals.
Kaitlyn attended law school at the University of Minnesota, where she graduated magna cum laude. While in law school, Kaitlyn gained valuable practice experience in the Civil Rights Enforcement Clinic and volunteering with the Indian Services Project, a service-oriented student group that provides estate planning and basic family law services to indigent members of Minnesota’s Native American community.
Also during her time at the University of Minnesota Law School, Kaitlyn worked as a summer associate at Robins Kaplan LLP, and as a judicial extern to the honorable Magistrate Judge Jeffrey Keyes, U.S. District Court, Minnesota. As a judicial extern, Kaitlyn gained considerable exposure to a wide variety of case types, litigation strategies, and lawyering techniques.
