Karen Saab-Dominguez handles all manner of litigation, including premises liability, negligent security, products liability, labor law, and transportation matters for a variety of high-profile clients, including one of the world’s largest beverage manufacturers.
Her civil litigation experience includes trials, depositions, hearings, and successful summary judgment motions including a high-profile case in federal court involving claims of civil rights violations.
Karen routinely handles complex mediations and arbitrations, and negotiates settlements in high-value cases, some exceeding seven figures.
Before joining Goldberg Segalla, Karen spent six years as an Assistant District Attorney in Bronx County, New York, prosecuting domestic violence and child abuse and sex crimes cases.
During her time at the District Attorney’s office, she gained invaluable trial experience, which included trying approximately three felony cases to verdict before a jury, trying misdemeanor cases, presenting approximately 200 to 300 cases to the grand jury, and handling approximately 30 to 40 sex-offender risk assessment hearings.
Prior to her time in the District Attorney’s office, Karen worked with Sanctuary for Families, the leading nonprofit in New York State dedicated exclusively to serving domestic violence victims, sex trafficking victims, and their children. During her time with Sanctuary, she tried 15 to 20 family court matters to verdict.
In August of 2012, Karen attended the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) National Trial College at Harvard Law School, an interactive week-long trial school taught by accomplished trial lawyers from all parts of the country.
While in law school, Karen was a member of the executive board for the Women’s Law Journal and competed for the school’s national team.
