Karissa T. Kaseorg is an associate in the firm’s litigation practice group. She represents clients in the areas of trucking defense, products liability defense, insurance defense, and suretyship litigation. Karissa also handles workers’ compensation matters and civil appellate matters.
Karissa is a graduate of the University of Virginia and of Washington and Lee University School of Law. While in law school, Karissa was active in various moot court competitions.
She represented Washington and Lee Law at the American Bar Association’s 2013-2014 National Appellate Advocacy Competition, where her team became regional champion.
She was also an active member of the Dean’s Advisory Committee and a Junior Editor for the German Law Journal. Prior to joining McCandlish Holton, Karissa served as a judicial law clerk to Judge Randolph A. Beales of the Court of Appeals of Virginia.
In between graduation and her clerkship, Karissa also gained valuable litigation experience as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney prosecuting the sexual assault and domestic violence cases for her locality.
