
Kate Perkins’s practice focuses on environmental litigation. Kate defends major utility companies in enforcement actions under federal and state environmental statutes.
Kate also participates in the firm’s pro bono initiative through the Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy, representing clients in Medicaid and disability benefits appeals and redetermination hearings.
In her third year of law school, Kate served in Duke Law School’s Appellate Litigation Clinic. She assisted in representing an indigent client in a habeas corpus appeal to the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Kate is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of North Carolina, and all North Carolina state courts.
