Katherine E. Monks is a Litigation & Dispute Resolution associate in Mayer Brown’s Washington DC office. Her practice involves complex commercial litigation and she has worked on litigation matters covering topics in antitrust, white collar defense, class action, and First Amendment law.
Kate has in-depth experience working on the major stages of the litigation process. She has drafted motions, participated in depositions, worked with expert witnesses, and managed the discovery process. In addition to this, she has also prepared client presentations for the US Department of Justice, participated in internal investigations, and conducted client interviews.
Kate is a graduate of Harvard Law School. During law school, she interned at the Department of Justice in the Office of Legal Policy and served as an Article Editor and Senior Managing Editor for the Harvard Law and Policy Review. Kate graduated magna cum laude with a BA in English from Brown University, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
