Katherine T. Parker represents clients in the senior housing industry in transactional matters related to mergers and acquisitions. An associate in Williams Mullen’s Business and Corporate practice, She counsels clients owning assets, such as skilled nursing, assisted living and independent living facilities, throughout the M&A process.
In particular, Katie focuses on the corporate and real estate aspects of such transactions, such as the acquisition and disposition of assets, stock-related transactions, corporate restructurings and capitalizations and FHA/HUD-insured loan transactions.
Katie also assists clients with general business matters, entity formation and commercial real estate matters, including leasing, acquisitions and sales and financings. In the community, Katie serves on the junior board for the Faison Center and is a member of the Richmond Bar Association Pro Bono Committee. Her background includes work as an account manager at Yahoo! Inc. and the advertising firm Goodby, Silverstein & Partners.
Katie earned her J.D. from the University of Richmond School of Law, where she was the senior notes and comments editor of the Richmond Journal of Law and Technology. While in law school, she also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable M. Hannah Lauck, a magistrate judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. Katie earned a B.A. in English Language and Literature from the University of Virginia.
