Kathryn Cahoy

Kathryn Cahoy represents clients in high-stakes, complex litigation, particularly those cases involving antitrust and/or class action claims. She has expertise in cases involving the Sherman Act, RICO, RESPA, FDCPA, various privacy statutes, and multiple state consumer protection laws.

Kate handles all aspects of litigation, including developing case strategy, efficiently navigating fact and expert discovery, taking and defending depositions, drafting key motion papers, preparing cases for trial, and defending victories on appeal.

• Represented semiconductor manufacturer against patent infringement allegations involving the IEEE 802.11 standard.
• Represented video streaming service in putative class action alleging violations of federal privacy law.

Pro Bono :

• Drafted amicus brief on behalf of veterans organization supporting petition for certiorari to the U.S. Supreme Court in case involving the Feres doctrine.
• Advised legal aid organization on developing promissory estoppel claims against county that led to favorable settlement for the organization’s client without the need for litigation.
• Advise military veterans on VA benefits issues at local non-profit clinic.
