Keith W. Binder, an associate at Levy Konigsberg LLP, focuses on representing victims and their families affected by asbestos-related diseases, including mesothelioma and lung cancer. Keith is licensed to practice law in New York and New Jersey, but handles cases filed in a variety of different states as well as in Federal court.
Keith is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of New York. Keith’s aggressive prosecution of cases has yielded millions of dollars’ worth of verdicts and settlements for his clients.
In December 2014, as co-counsel to associate Amber Long, Keith Binder helped obtain a $7.7million verdict in Syracuse, NY for a local, long-time bus driver who was exposed to asbestos during the time he spent in the school’s bus garage where the buses were repaired. The $7.7 million verdict is the largest ever in Syracuse for an asbestos case. The verdict was also among the Top 20 Verdicts in New York in 2014.
Prior to joining LK, Keith worked for an international law firm where his practice included large commercial matters, general tort litigation, employment litigation, and securities arbitration and litigation.
Keith received his law degree from St. John’s University School of Law. He competed as a member of both St. John’s mock trial team and its moot court team, receiving awards during competition for his superior trial advocacy, his brief writing, and his appellate oral arguments.
Prior to law school, Keith graduated from Boston College, cum laude. At BC, he was the captain of the mock trial team and led the school to two appearances in the American Mock Trial Association National Championship Tournament.
