Kellie Kemp is an associate in the Washington, D.C., office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. She is a member of the firm’s antitrust team, where her work encompasses all aspects of the practice. She assists clients through the process of obtaining government clearance for mergers and acquisitions, from pre-merger counseling through investigations by the U.S.
Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Trade Commission. She also has significant merger litigation experience, including serving as a core member of a trial team that sought to defend a rare consummated merger against the DOJ in federal district court. Outside of the merger context, Kellie has a broad range of experience counseling on civil litigation matters, as well as cartel investigations by the DOJ and international agencies.
In addition, Kellie regularly advises clients regarding antitrust issues that affect the ordinary course of business. She counsels on best practices to ensure compliance with the antitrust laws, particularly in the contexts of resale and distribution programs, licensing agreements, pricing policies, marketing and advertising activities, and participation in trade associations.
Prior to joining the firm, Kellie served as an extern to the Honorable Claudia Wilken of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. She also worked with the UC Hastings Center for Gender and Refugee Studies as a Spanish translator on refugee and asylum cases.
