Kelly Thrasher Fox practices in the areas of real estate, mergers and acquisitions, contract negotiation, business and estate planning, finance, and general corporate, tax and contract law. She assists entrepreneurs in their evolution from starting their business, selling or expanding their business, and dissolving their business, including all of the steps along the way such as financing and contractual negotiations. Kelly has represented numerous clients in the acquisition or disposition of real estate ranging from distribution centers, shopping centers, governmental buildings, residential subdivisions, and cell phone tower sites. Kelly also works with various municipalities in remediating blight and addressing other real estate issues.
Kelly graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration, magna cum laude, from Auburn University in 1998. Kelly obtained her J.D., magna cum laude, from Cumberland School of Law in 2001 where she was Copy Editor of the Cumberland Law Review. She received her Masters of Laws in Taxation Degree from the University of Florida School of Law in 2002 and served as a Student Editor for the Florida Tax Review.
Kelly is a member of, and serves on the board for, the South Shelby Chamber of Commerce. Kelly is President of the Columbiana Chapter of the Lions Club. She also serves as a board member of the Children’s Aid Society and annually serves as a member of a United Way of Central Alabama Vising Allocation Team. Kelly is also a member of Alabama Women in Business and the Historic Shelby Association.
Kelly was named as one of the Birmingham Business Journal’s Top 40 under 40 in 2015 and is a recipient of the National MS Society Leadership Award.
