Kelly Y. Chen is a graduate of the University of California Hastings College of the Law. She has experience in labor and employment law and has worked tirelessly to empower traditionally underrepresented individuals in California.
Ms. Chen opened her law practice immediately after graduating from law school with the hopes of fighting for the rights of employees, particularly low-wage and immigrant workers, as well as those in the LGBT population. She is highly knowledgeable in employment law and is fluent in Mandarin-Chinese and conversational Taiwanese.
While in law school, Ms. Chen was a member of the Hastings Civil Justice Clinic. She received numerous awards and honors as a law student, including the California Employment Lawyers Association Diversity Scholarship, the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence and the CALI Excellence for the Future Award.
Prior to law school, Ms. Chen obtained her M.A. degree in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, as well as a B.A. degree in Psychology from the University of California, Irvine with honors.
