Kelvin Chan’s practice focuses on patent prosecution, post grant proceedings and patent litigation. Mr. Chan handles matters in a broad range of technical fields including wireless systems and telecommunications networks, mobile devices, computer hardware, semiconductors, data storage, image processing and cryptographic systems.
Prior to joining WilmerHale, Mr. Chan was an engineer at Qualcomm where he developed wireless telecommunications chipsets involving 4G LTE standards. He also worked at the MITRE Corporation where he helped to develop hardware, software and signal processing prototypes as a digital hardware engineer.
As an engineering student, Mr. Chan was involved in developing process control systems as an intern at the Anheuser-Busch brewery in Merrimack, NH. In law school, Mr. Chan was a member of the BU/MIT Entrepreneurship Clinic where he advised entrepreneurs and early stage companies on a variety of legal issues including corporate governance, financing and intellectual property.
