Kelvin Goode is an associate in Weil’s Complex Commercial Litigation and Intellectual Property & Media practice groups. Mr. Goode’s practice focuses on a broad range of complex commercial litigation, as well as copyright, music licensing and other IP disputes in state and federal courts across the U.S.
Among his notable recent experience, Mr. Goode currently serves on Weil teams representing CBS Radio in a putative class action in Wisconsin federal court asserting claims for violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, and WL Ross & Co. in a number of disputes with former employees.
He also played a key role on the Weil teams that successfully obtained the early dismissal of Showtime Networks from a series of putative class actions in courts around the country arising out of the August 2017 high-profile boxing match between Floyd Mayweather and UFC star Conor McGregor; and represented Univision Communications in a significant carriage dispute in New York state court with Charter Communications arising out of Charter’s acquisition of Time Warner Cable.
Mr. Goode is also involved in the Firm’s pro bono program and regularly works on intake matters with the Innocence Project.
