Kevin Schaefer is an associate attorney at Dabdoub Law Firm. Kevin began his legal career as a law clerk at the firm while in law school. His passion for helping people get the disability benefits they deserve became a full-time job when he joined the firm as a disability lawyer after graduating from law school.
Kevin focuses on assisting clients with claims for short term and long term disability benefits. He handles long term disability appeals when those benefits are wrongly denied or terminated and lawsuits for disability insurance benefits in state and federal court. His clients are entitled to disability benefits through individual or group disability insurance policies.
The majority of his clients’ claims fall under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA). Since joining Dabdoub Law Firm, Kevin has represented clients with claims against all major disability insurance companies.
His clients suffer from many different medical conditions, including, but not limited to, chronic pain, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, multiple sclerosis, stroke, cardiovascular disease, Meniere’s disease, cognitive impairments, and concussions. Kevin has also represented former NFL players in their fight for total and permanent disability benefits under the NFL’s disability plan.
Kevin Schaefer graduated magna cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law in 2016. Prior to joining the firm, Kevin worked in an in-house legal department for a large infrastructure corporation. While attending the University of Miami School of Law, he received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for his work in Representing a Pro Sports Franchise course.
Prior to attending law school, Kevin graduated summa cum laude from the University of Central Florida and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, along with a minor in Sports Business Management.
