Kira Rivera

Kira Rivera, a Pittsburgh native, joined the Pittsburgh, PA and Wheeling WV groups as an associate in January 2017. She concentrates her law practice in general liability and products liability defense litigation with a focus on asbestos litigation defense in West Virginia and Pennsylvania.

Her litigation and case management experience covers briefing and arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, propounding and responding to discovery, counseling clients and negotiating settlements.

Ms. Rivera is a 2009 graduate of Oberlin College. Ms. Rivera received her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Duquesne University in 2012. Before joining Wilbraham, Lawler & Buba, Ms. Rivera worked in general liability defense, with focuses in nursing home litigation, construction litigation, and personal injury defense.

She also has experience as a Plaintiff’s injury attorney, which allows her a unique perspective in the development and defense of her cases.

Outside of her legal work, Ms. Rivera volunteers as organizer of a free community workout group, Steel City Shred in the Northside and McKees Rocks areas of Pittsburgh, PA. She also completed her first half marathon in Pittsburgh in May 2017.
