Kristen S. Ruisi’s practice focuses on domestic and international trademark prosecution, enforcement, clearance and counseling. She also concentrates on foreign litigation, trademark policing and enforcement strategies, conflict resolution, negotiating and drafting of agreements pertaining to intellectual property, domain name registration and counseling, domain name disputes, including opposition and cancellation proceedings before the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the National Arbitration Forum and The Canadian Internet Registration Authority, and other organizations governing domain name disputes, Internet related matters, infringement matters, and copyright matters regarding the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
Prior to joining Venable, Kristen spent eight years at a global high-profile fashion, beauty and luxury goods company where she handled international and domestic trademark prosecution, enforcement, clearance and counseling, as well as the development and implementation of brand protection strategies in collaboration with the worldwide Intellectual Property team.
